Q. What are the “business hours”

A. The business hours are between 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. However, we do provide emergency services 24/7.

 

Q. Do I have to pay for the tow at the time of service?

A. Yes. Unless your vehicle is being delivered to a garage that we contract. Then alternate arrangments can be set up.

 

Q. How do I pay for the tow?

A. Impounds and stored vehicles- Cash, Money Order, Visa, Mastercard. NO CHECKS.

Other services- Cash, Local Check with driver's licence, phone, etc., Visa, Mastercard, Money Order

 

Q. What credit cards do you accept?

A. Visa and Mastercard

 

Q. Can I call and have a vehicle towed if it is blocking me?

A. Only the owner/manager of a property or business or the police can call to have a vehicle removed if the area was properly signed.

 

Q. Can I get anything out of my impounded/stored vehicle before it is paid for?

A. No. Only medications and child car seats.

 

Q. What information do I need to get my vehicle back?

A. A picure ID and proof of ownership such as current registration, title, etc.

 

Q. What if my vehicle has been placed on “hold” through an impounding agency or the police?

A. The vehicle must be released by the impounding agency or police department before it can be released to you.

 

Q. How do I know if you towed my vehicle if I was not present?

A. Contact the local police department to see which company has your vehicle in its possession first. Then call the dispatch number during normal hours.

 

Q. Does Mr. Wrecker offer Business's Account Towing?

A. Yes. Please contact us to set up an account for your business fleet and/or your employees.

We can offer assistance with:

Fire lanes, reserved parking, abandoned vehicles, in-operable vehicles, expired tabs, fleet/employee vehicle breakdowns, on-the-road fleet/employee vehicle service needs, etc.

 

Q. What happens if I don't retreive my vehicle?
A. A lien sale is conducted on all vehicles stored with Mr. Wrecker after 20 days. If vehicles are not recovered by the sale date Mr. Wrecker will sell the vehicle at public auction and the last responsible party will be sent to collections on any amount of the tow and storage bill not covered by the sale.

VEHICLE TIPS

  • Do your homework before taking your vehicle in for repairs and service.

  • Read the owner's manual to learn about the vehicle's systems and components.

  • Follow the recommended service schedules.

  • Keep a log of all repairs and service.

  • When you think about it, you know your car better than anyone else. You drive it everyday and know how it feels and sounds when everything is right. So don't ignore its warning signals.

  • Use all of your senses to inspect your car frequently. Check for:

Unusual sounds, odors, drips, leaks, smoke, warning lights, guage readings.

Changes in acceleration, engine performance, gas mileage, fluid levels.

Worn tires, belts, hoses.

Problems in handling, braking, steering, vibrations.

Note when the problem occurs.

Is it constant or periodic?

When the vehicle is cold or after the engine has warmed up?

At all speeds? Only under acceleration? During braking? When shifting?

When did the problem first start?

Communicate your findings with your chosen vehicle repair facility.
